Default Pro-R Panel Filter

Hi,

I purchased one of these dry foam panel filters today for my 07 Spec D.

Not fitted it yet, and I'm not expecting any BHP gains, but has anyone tried one on their STi?

Any good? Increased air flow?

My car is totally standard by the way.

I fitted one to my last car but truth be told I couldn't tell much of a difference when I was on it.

It certainly sounded more aggressive though

Yeah I can relate to that!

Not sure if I want to keep it in there or not.

If it comes out, it will be £30 posted to anyone.

I fitted a Simota air filter to my Spec D after that volcano in Iceland went bang and it made a huge difference.

When I took the old filter out it was full of what I assume was volcano dust!

12hp wow that's a surprising gain... would have expected that from an induction kit let alone a filter change.

I guess it depends where the gain is coming. If it's 12hp consistently across the range even before she's spooling it'd be quite a difference. Unfortunately if it's only slightly up and the biggest gain comes just at peak power delivery it will be more of an academic increase.

Maybe if you want to make a good difference you do lots of little things and the combination of things like a new filter combined gives a noticeable increase, before you consider doing invasive engine mods.

I have one fitted in my 330s and it certainly increases the induction noise and not that I had a dyno test prior to fitting but had a rolling road day recently and it ran 335bhp so make of that what you will

Hi everyone, that's wright about the Du-luck filter it was about 12 odd bhp improvement, as i was looking at getting a panel filter at the time read that thought id try one,but due to a dodgy o2 sensor wouldn't like to say what sort of improvement i got as some days car wnet absolutely great the next like it had lost 50hp.
