Default Thinking of returning into a Scooby

hi Guys

Am thinking of returning into a scooby and has been offered a scooby that seems to have alot done to it. To be honest i dont know much as scoobys always been a bmw guy but am missing the noise of the flat 4 compare to my current bmw Msport.

I was wondering if anyone could share some light on the info the guy given on the car i.e close deck engine etc also is the abs sensor a is big issue?

it be a bonus if anyone on here owned the car of know someone that did

hes valued his at £4k around same price as my E46 325 msport

heres a picture of the scooby and the info

For £4k its not bad. Just find out if the 2.5 motor has been fully forged. If so then 450bhp+ is capable. If its not then I would offer a bit less
Abs sensor not really a challenge, can get that sorted very easy.
Also if you buy, ditch the rear lights and ask for the originals

As above, not really a £4k car, fair enough had a lot of work, but is just a bug wrx, and without a 6 speed and the torque of the 2.5 bottom end, could well need a new gearbox at some stage which would be ish £2k fitted, for £6k you could be in an early blob sti running similar power or more with a 6 speed as standard and better brakes amongst other things.

Abs sensor is no issue, but they cost just shy of £200 iirc so factor that in, and that's if it is the sensor and not the ring, as if it is the ring its self that has cracked then you are looking at even more money, obviously these are new prices but just for you to be aware, parts for these cars ain't exactly what I would call cheap
