Default Sheered off Inlet Manifold bolt

Hey all, I've been trying to track down a whistle which I get when my 2005 STi Blob comes on boost. The whistle starts at ~3k RPM in a high gear and then fades to nothing at ~4.5k RPM.

As part of the hunt, I was checking my Inlet Manifold bolts tonight to make sure nothing needed nipping up - and the bolt closest to the airbox was spinning around in its hole. On closer inspection, it turns out it's snapped/sheered off in the hole!

Unfortunately the bolt has snapped half way down, so there's nothing for me to grip to remove it.

I fear this will be a case of getting the inlet manifold off completely so the remains of the bolt can be extracted - but can anybody suggest a safe alternative?

How risky is it driving the car without this bolt? I can only assume it's not been tight for quite some while. If this is causing my whistle, the whistle has been present for a good few weeks now.

Cheers
