just put your old plugs back in and confirm you have got the plugs on the coil packs properley because if they are not it will cause it to misfire

the bolt is there to hold the coil pack to the heads, but i know of people who have not put the plugs on correctley and it wont start. but definetley check the spark plugs or put the old ones back in as it was obviousley ok before

I've had this problem with the bosch 4's my car wouldn't start put a set of ngk's in and it fired first turn of the key. I put the bosch 4's into another impreza just to be sure it was the problem and that wouldn't start either but as soon as i put the original plugs in it started first turn of the key. And yes the plugs go black to back cream to front.

@ micky boy- yeh iv tryed that still no joy.

And the any codes what was up before all this was 22 knock sensor and seemed to missfire, but fitted new. so i brought bosh plugs as i thought they was good try and start and just keeps cranking no firing.

But no check light on while im trying, but connected black plugs and just flashes constant.

Thinking mite replace crank sensor??

95 wont stop the engine from starting. if you have a multi meter give the crank and cam sensors a test. put the probes on the connectors and wave some metal close to the front of the sensor. put it on 2k ohms i think and you should see a fluctuation each time the metal passes the magnet. cam sensor should come out easy, the crank is a bit more of a pain. you could try pulling the plug off the crank sensor and turn over. see if it records a code.

what ecu are you using?

Check that the plugs you took out and the plugs you put in are the same thread length as the local subaru garage gave me the incorrect length plugs!!!!

Right after messing about, pur old plugs back in , now hav spark, but it seems to be everywhere , sometimes i get spark to the old test on the block on each coil, then one coil will go down, and keep swapping.

like... 3will work, passenger rear want, then it will, and then drivers front coil will go down...

checked conections like 5 times, and ok, whats going on ???

Tryed to get crank sensor out but solid in and dont want to break, incaae i cant fully get it out

If you are now getting spark then crank and cam sensors are working, how well i dunno but the ecu is getting the signals so allowing spark. How good is your battery? did it manage to fire up and run for a bit?

If its getting fuel, is sparking and has compression it should run, or at least fire... are the fuel lines connected the right way round?
