Question Handling issues, advice needed!!

I took my dad's car out the other day, came off the round about and gave about a third of acceleration in second while doing about 20mph. The back end jumped out and then the front end started to play up as well. It was a little bit cold and a little damp with an even road surface.

He owns a V4 Sti classic, standard suspension set up, rolled arches with new 18" team dynamic wheels and yokohoma tyres (Not sure on the exact model). He's recently had a brand new RCM 2.5 lump with simtec and all bells and whistles installed. It's been properly run in and well looked after.

I'm currently on my third classic (WRX, Turbo 2000 and now a V4 Sti). I'm currently using budget tyres (MAXIS) and i have never had a problem like this. Mine at the moment slides a little in greasy conditions when i really put my foot down but nothing like above.

When he had the arches rolled he told me he was getting a full geo set up which is allegedly done. Not sure who did it mind but no one known on here.

My questions are: -

Could his diff be playing up and not delivering the power properly?

Can modern day tyres really be that bad?

What checks can be done to see where the problem is coming from?

Thanks in advance.

I'll try and find out the model of yoko's and get back to you.

I did tell him he should of had a before and after print out but didn't get one.

The car has yet to go on a rolling road but it pulls like a train. There is sooo much torque are very smooth.

i have yoko prada spec 2 on mine, cant knock them in the dry but in the wet or if there is surface water they make the car feel very unpredictable from the rear, caught me out once and spent a long time rebuilding it,lesson learnt!

They are yoko parada spec 2's 215/35/18's

I'm sure my Zafira handles much better than his car. I've looked through all his paperwork and found the geo print out which is below.
