Thumbs up Mail order spares for South Africa?

I have a friend who lives in SA who has a 2007 Forester and he has asked me if there is a reputable company in the UK for standard bits.

The reason for this is the subaru parts from dealers are incredibly expensive over there (£70 for an aircon filter for example) so he's trying to find a supplier here that can be trusted to send stuff to him.

Any recommendations?

Why don't you buy it and send it over £70 is a joke for a filter who makes their prices up the joker

Import car parts if wanting just oe items as such and service parts etc, never had a problem with them, but them again I've never had anything delivered abroad

If you want a subaru specialist then scoobyclinic, RCM, etc

I offered to send stuff over as suggested, but its more for general use going forward - the aircon filter is just an example.

Re RCM and the rest - his car is bog standard so no point there although that's where most of my stuff comes from as my car isn't exactly standard anymore - which is also why I didn't know where to get standard stuff from outside of the stealers.

Thanks Jura - didn't think of Alyn as I had him down with the likes of RCM ( get my brake pads etc from him).

The issue with SA, is the import duties and taxes! I looked at this when I lived there and ran a Subaru GT one small part is ok, but might struggle if its more, like brakes.

thanks for that. Might have to carry some bits in my luggage next time I am down there - as long as he doesn't want a 6 speed...
