The increased bhp and torque figures are also impressive too - extra 70 odd ft/lbs and a massive bhp increase of nearly 100, I was just a little confused as to why the torque seemed a bit low in comparison to say - a turbo'd WRX block as I thought they were similar?
I'd be very interested to hear why Litchfield went for supercharger over turbo; perhaps it's because the delivery is smoother and prevents the rear squirming around as much as it might do when a turbo kicked in!

The results are from quick tuning on our prototype so torque etc will increase*

Thats pretty impressive for a first go.
I think the drive will tell a different story, with no transmission losses could be quite an entertaining drive if the reports about the chassis are correct.
Could be quite interested in one of these in a 3/4 years when the glitches have been ironed out and the prices come down.

My only concern would be mpg as unless you can turn it off like the Nismo POC supercharged 350z they did, its 'always on' - don't know if this is like having a turbo on boost all the time though as I've never driven a 'charged motor so would be interesting to see, and of course it will be fully available throughout the rev range so there shouldn't be lag we get with the turbo'd Scoobs.
The fact they expect even more torque is impressive!
Thanks for the additional info.
Just out of interest where did that post come from? Another forum?

Ah I pretty much guessed right re power delivery then, although I have to say I didn't realise they were cheaper!

No I'd text Iain to arrange a test drive for me and a mate. We are both end up buying one now its finally got some respectable power the chassis deserves.
As long as I can stop him drooling over his GTRs or he order one of them!!!
Edward when's yours due for its phase 2 upgrade?

Yes defno work in progress but he seems really happy with setup As it is.
Like the type20/25 it's all about well balanced Car and not loads of this or that.
There is someone torque available but wants to keep the BHP lineer so its eaiser to control steering with the throttle. IIRC
me an KEV going meet you there?
