Hi, brought my first scooby about two months ago and have noticed a couple of faults. Its a 98 v4 type r.

1) There seems to be some knocking sound from the front right corner. New drop links have been fitted but the sound persists

2)Speedo suddenly stopped working at the weekend. Mileage still counts up and the rest of the dash works. On visual inspection everything is plugged in and connections look ok. Before failing i noticed the speedo did read 10mph higher than my sat nav.

Any ideas please

2) Could be the vehicle speed sensor which is located on the gearbox housing behind the downpipe. PITA to remove though

I have found the speed sensor, is there a way to test it before buying a new one
