wonderin if thers many of you guy who have reached 400bhp in a newage(blob in my case)then added a front mount.lookin to find out if i should expect a noticeable power increase.cheers guys.

 

i got a 40 plus bhp, when i added my fmic, from tm at 400 bhp, im running the perrin fmic

 

40bhp??? With a remap??? Just can't see any real power increase with simply adding an fmic!

 

Will deffo see a power increase, 40 bhp is a bit optimistic id of thought though but then the Perrin is a good bit of kit

 

was thinkin miby 20 bhp.i think its a japspeed kit tho.

 

Depends on turbo and other supported mods,we are run Japspeed FMIC at 490bhp and has been spotless at this power

It's not just the change of the intercooler on the newage, but also the induction changes required for a FMIC. You can run more than 400bhp on oem TMIC, but not with the oem airbox.

I could only achieve 400bhp on the OEM TMIC and airbox, changed both at the same time and achieved 442bhp.

 

thanks for the replies guys.at present car(BLOB) runs sti engine+6s box,full 3in turbo back,walbro,k+n,650s,fpr,mafless switchable map(a.carr).rcm catch tank and cr turbo hybrid gt30(SMALL INTAKE).app 400bhp.front mount is also fitted but gettin map tweaked 2moro.was just lookin for a ruff estimted power increase.

 

Just had mine remapped after perrin front mount to 428 bhp, Was running 373 before but we also increased the boost to 1.8 bar from 1.6

 

on standard internals????
