Finally got a Scoob! Paint correction advice please!
Hey guys!
So after weeks of bugging you all for advice I finally took the plunge and purchased a 55 reg blobeye STI, I cant pick the car up until wednesday as the subaru dealer is fitting new rear shocks and repairing the DCCD which doesnt seem to come off auto.
When it was moved inside the subaru showroom under the artificial light I could see that the entire car was just covered in swirl marks from careless cleaning, so I was hoping you could point me in the direction of a trustworthy/good paintcare specialist who could "cut" the paint for me and get it back to its former glory.
I live in Berkshire so im looking for someone in the south of England not too far away.
I am expecting the entire car to cost £300, is that unreasonable?
Thanks in advance for any advice. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

you could look for someone local here http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/. Although seeing as your buying the car off a dealer why not get them to get it done for you? I would insist
Hey buster, they refused to knock the price down to cover the costs of the paint refurb.
Blood out of a stone springs to mind, two of the tyres were low and only one of those two was low enough to fail its mot so they were only going to replace that one lol. I had to pay an extra £90 for them to add another tyre.
I'm looking for some recommendations from people that have had it done as its likely I will have to leave my car with them for two days to get the entire thing done.
They claim they are fitting £1200 quids worth of new shocks (genuine STI) so they couldnt come down on the price for this reason. who knows!

I was there waiting to have my 4 wheel alignment done, knew it would be snapped up quick!!
Yes, the bonnet has either been mopped, or needs a mop if that makes sense!
Great team there for servicing too, Graham Hollidge, Jack and Gary are top fellas - well done
I wondered if this was the blob you had bought, being local etc.
I take it you are aware this car has PPP? It will be rapid.
Never underestimate the power of the Japanese.

Heya,
Yes as I was looking around the car the salesman at proven saw the "prodrive" written on the exhaust and realised it was lol.
Those are just watermarks, the car smells damp inside as the boot mat is damp from the typical subaru leak but I can sort that out no probs.
Aside from the swirlmarks that need removing from the paint and the damp in the boot its a really nice example, drives very smooth.
The DCCD wont come out of auto mode but Proven promised they would get it fixed asap.
Cant wait!
