How will the 3 year manufacturer warranty on my new WRX be affected once I fit things like 3-party exhaust systems, air filters, uprated brakes, etc?

Cheers!

Talking

I think a lot depends on the dealer and your relationship with your dealer

Anything that fails as a direct result of you fitting third party bits will not be covered, everything else will be. simple as that

eg

you fit different pistons and the engine blows up = not covered

you fit different pistons and your drivers electric window motor blows up = covered

i have a years warranty left, took my car to dealer last week for boost check & when they see i had ss d/pipe fitted they quickly piped up that id invalidated the warranty as far as anything connected was concerned ( i.e. turbo packing up ) although i have heard of dealers still looking after their customers in such cases, i guess my bloke has hormone probs.

You would probably get away with a back box but full decat system they may be a little funnier/difficult with an engine claim. Depends on the dealer though.
