Default What Mods for 400bhp

Hi to all,

Been looking recently into getting up to the 400bhp mark and was wondering what I would need to achieve that.

Car is a 2005 JDM STI currently running 344/370. So far I have done:
  • Titanium Turbo-back decatted exhaust
  • Pipecross panel filter
  • Forge Re-circ DV
  • Re-map
I read somewhere that the turbo is good for 400hp but I'm not convinced. Would it be better to get a different turbo? What else would I need?

Thanks for your time.

If you have a VF37 on your car it wont make 400, probably 360ish on v power. I have a 2003 JDM STI now running 457bhp. I'd change the turbo to something like an sc42 twinscroll, bigger injectors, 3 port boost solenoid, upgrade the fuel pump to a walbro unit or similar. Should see over 400 with that lot. Depends if you want to run the standard airbox with the topmount or go front mount?

Thanks for the replies lads.

I'd prefer to keep the TMIC and airbox as is. I've been looking at getting a second-hand turbo but are proving hard to find. Reccomendations on injector size?

Fuel pump 800cc don't need fpr if injectors are big enough sc42 turbo or sc46 and a mapper that will turn up oe Ecu boost to 1.8 bar
