Default brake problem

Hi just wondering if anybody can help. Ive noticed a couple of times this week that when im braking on a bumpy road the brakes feel dodgy asif the abs is kickingin but the brakes are locking up. Ive never noticed this before its only been over last week or so when im braking on bumpy roads and seems to be at any speed. Car is a classic sti wagon but with brembo fronts and standard rears.

Any help appreciated
Andy

When you brake on a bumpy rd then your abs will kick in and off thus locking them up. Seems pretty normal to me, does it lock up on a smooth rd?

Nope never locks up on flat. It just seems wierd as it never did it before and just a bit worried something was wrong when it did it at about 15 mph other day

Are you pressing them firmly on bumpy rds? They may have good pads in, do you know what pads they are?
I know if I pressed my brakes firmly on bumpy rd it would be easy to lock up, Ive just got used to pushing them accordinally on certain road surfaces,(I have cl race pads)

Another thing if it didn't do it before, maybe your shocks are buggered or something causing less grip on rd when bumpy driving.

Not sure what pads are in it mate cant remember. Thanks for advice may have to look at shocks or just put a little less pressure on the pedal just dont want to end up in a wall or something.

Give the front end a good check over in case.
Is the car newish or have you had it a while? As you say it didn't do it before.

Ive had car 3 and a bit year but was off road for 2 year with knackered engine. All brakes were cleaned before car came back on road. Ive had it back around 3 month but only noticed this happening this past week.
