Default Decat exhaust

Hi this may sound like a silly question but what is the difference between a decat up pipe and decat down pipe? Is the up pipe the cat under the car and the down pipe the one that's nearer the engine? I'm a bit confused lol

Ur down pipe connects from the back of the turbo then goes down and connects to center section of exhaust

Ur uppipe connects from headers to underside of turbo ...

They are very different to look at why don't u have a look on eBay so u visually no what they look like

Before you start buying things on e-Bay find somebody that you can trust that knows about your model and can give you good advice. There is a fairly well trodden path that normally starts with the exhaust system including the downpipe that attaches the back of the turbo to the exhaust, then the uppipe that connects the turbo at the other side to the exhaust manifold which in Scooby parlance is the headers. This is the usual route and may at some point include a fuel pump and when all that is done, a remap.
It is important to know whether your car is UK or Japanese.
There are plenty people out there want to sell you bits but not too many people that will sit you down and explain the ins and outs of what you need to do after listening to what you want to achieve and what sort of budget you have. Proceed with caution because if you don't know much about Subarus just now you are an ideal target for the greedy and unscrupulous.
