Default Gains using GT Spec headers.

Story so far...

MY54 WRX running;

VF34
550 injectors
Full decat, 3>2.5"
STI TMIC
Walbro 255
APS induction
Simtek ecu, AL,LC

It's currently running 346bhp on V-power.

Question is, what gains and benefits do GT Spec headers offer over the OEM. From what I've seen a lot of people say to get a matched up pipe when changing the headers, why is this? Also if said headers were fitted would this require a map tweak?

Thanks in advance

at that power level ported headers would be cheaper, much better and give you good results, with matched up pipe, tubular headers apparently not really required until over 380+

Ok so what do the ported headers give that the OEM ones don't? Better flow rate?

I gained circa 400 rpm of spool on ported headers and up-pipe both from Harvey so that gives an idea of the gains.
