How to tell if the front top mounts are gone/worn
Hi all,
What is the best way to tell if my 02 sti type uk front top mounts are gone or worn, the reason i ask is that i have a clunking & creaking noise from the front, when driving slow & when i reverse round a corner to get into my street, i have had it checked by a local garage & the link joints,ball joints & arb bushes look fine, but when i lift the bonnet & remove the cap covering the front strut, if i touch the bolt while pushing the wing up & down i can feel a knocking, this is on both sides....
