Anyone know a good mecanic near Newark area that might beable to get to the bottom of my tapping noise. I have paid money to solve the problem but still no joy only that it might be poss small end.
The car has been like it over 9 months and runs fine apart from noise, sounds like noisey tappets but valve clearance was checked by scobbyclinc whe they changed cam belt and said they were fine.
This noise is doing my head in now, its never got worse tho.

Took it to scoobyclinc they said poss small ends, but been like it over 9 month and used daily, so i dont think its that serious. Who are **** hot on imprezas out there.

Well people normally say Scoobyclinic in that area but I've never used them in fairness so go on others comments.

You could try giving David O'Brien a ring at API, who are about 75 miles from you in Warwickshire.
