Rear Strut Grease
Hi,
WRX STi Spec D 07/07 25k miles.
I used to have an STi 54 plate widetrack blob until I sold it 5 years ago.
It had the common problem of knocking from the rear suspension, but got both struts, springs, top mounts done under warranty. Why did Subaru still use the chocolate grease as my 07/07 has the exact same problem.
I have spoken to Big Ian (The Monster) at work, and he is prepared to re grease my rear struts at some point, but what would be the best grease to use? Only the NSR is knocking, but will do both.
I see the how to's on here, and it looks like the grease goes hard / waxy - chocolate grease if you ask me.
If I use a decent grease, would there be any need for the nipple mod?
Cheers all.

Use a good lithium based grease and it should last well. Will eventually dry tho so it is well worth the nipple mod. Allows you to regrease them in the future.
Did it on my old spec d and it works well.
