Casa Blanca wagon. Seriously i love them.

Best looking imo is the 22B and the RB320. Rb may not be the strongest out the box but with a few quid spend in the right areas make it a great road car. Hard enough to see off most things on the road, soft enough you can live with it and use as a daily driver.

JDM STi/Spec C without the doubts are best out of box

22b is great, but mostly as collector car, which is shame

I'd have to say the S202, Hawkeye Spec C RA-R or any of the Spec C models.

It's all down to personal preference really, a lot of the Spec C models aren't really for day to day use due to their removal of noise insulation etc which can make the overall ownership experience rather tiring. But as a weekend toy they are without equal.

And a 22B if I had the money.

Depends on if ur planning on using it ... If u want it to just sit there and look the nuts then the 22b is the 1 !

If ur gonna use it on a daily basis then im sure there will be lots of variants that come up but my choice is the type r but then again I'm not into newages..

Spec C for point to point. Though once you've been in a 22B on an Airfield you realise how special that engine is.

There are too many IMO! All depends on what you want!

Classic- 22b or Type R

Newage- RA-R or S203/4

Hatch/Saloon- S206

If I had the cash and space then they would all be in my garage

P1 for me, apart from the 22b it's the best looking in my opinion. I had wanted one from the time I first saw one back in 2000 and I've had mine 2 years now and still love it. I'd love to see what a spec c or RAR are like though people seem to give them high praise.

For daily I chose a widetrack jdm sti, if weekend only car would have considered a spec c, but as a daily I wanted the extras on the sti.

In the real world with an average job.

V3 type r for the week end boys toy, rallying pedigree and raw feel.

Day to day life, shopping, kids, dog, motorways, tip runs, camping holidays, Blob wagon PPP, with AP4 pots.

We are talking out the box here.

I have both. ( insert smug with crown smiley) lol

I think it's between the P1 & Type R..

After owning various models I still think there's something great about the boring old uk 2000 turbo.

Looks like we can't name ONE as being the best.

Classic: 22B
Newage: Spec C RA-R, 2001 Type RA Spec C
3rd Gen: 2012 hatch Spec C

Spec C, have owned and driven lots of models now and IMHO it's the rawest out the box (which is what I like) for a daily it would have to be a specD

classics - too old
bug eye - too ugly
all wrx - why? if you want performance buy a sti, if money is a concern wrx is still not right car for you
2006 cars onwards - will never touch a 2.5 and dont wanna pay stupid amount on tax.
imports - stupid money to buy for slightly different car,
special editions such as wr1- would love one but stupid money for marginly better car

That leaves one car a blob eye sti ppp. Performance, looks, reliability, comfort, every mod con I need, Gorgeous sound, over 300bhp, cheap to buy, insure, service, not bad on fuel either.

Just my opinion, but you really got to factor in money as lets face it if money didnt matter none of us would be in a impreza.

I have the Impreza I think of as best... (Can`t afford a 22b)

Mine is a 1st Gen `K` plate WRX Type-RA (Red).

I`ve had 5 Scooby`s in various model and spec, but definatly feel my current Type-RA is the best of them all (And oldest)... You can`t beat the sheer basic no frills experience of a V1 Type-RA...
