Question More power!!

As the title says. In the near future I would like to up my power from 280bhp as this now actually starting to feel slow to mid/high 300's but i am after some advice as I know my current car (2003 Wrx) would never be able to hold that sort of power without something major going wrong, would it be best to then sell my current car and opt for a slightly older bug eye sti which would be more sorted to hold that sorter power and wouldnt cost me much more or upgrade my current engine/ gearbox which would then cost a lot more etc etc.. Be a shame to sell mine off though but it would be more logic etc erc..

What other options are out there ?

Buy STI, turbo, pump, injectors and map. 300+. Reliable, big smiles.

Job done.

I have just removed a VF35 from my 2003 STI UK if you want a turbo?

You forgot the intercooler.

You'd be talking about a grand+ for that lot, whether or not it would be worth the outlay, on a car that's only worth about £3k, is the question.

Yeh that's the main reason I was consdiering as the car itself is a much better baseline with engine and box.. The emotional value though is the hardest part haha sounds sad but hey.. Put a lot money into what i got already with updated brakes and coilovers

But then it's like 5 to get my current car to that standard so in a sense it already outlays it on that aspect of it.

Would most of you sell there car to go more or use what ya have and spend double?

Well spotted Norman! Apologies.

Power chasing is always an expencive game. Depends how far you want to go. A blob STI will have a 6 speed should you want to go 400+ at a later date.. worth a think about
