Hello all.
I've not got a Scoob yet but have a MY01 on order. I can currently be seen in a light blue metallic Puma.
We'll have to all meet up (prefereably after September as I'll have the car then!).

Know what you mean with the traffic, i currently drive to site most days i a escort, and drive to site as early as poss ie 6am.
My scooby is a silver my00 'W' reg, colour coded everything, with leather and a scoobysport exhaust and PIAA driving lights, and you can usually find it on site on a friday parked over on Vit3 car park next to the green offices.

Has it got a full Scoobysport system or just a bb cos I`d love to hear it but I can`t justify £300+ for a back box unfortunatly
but I`m picking up my PIAA lamps on monday from DRMotorsport oh Dave, I try to avoid Millom as much as I can If you see me Steve give me a wave I`m sure I can lower myself to waving to a F##D owner !! Why September for the car? surely MY01`s delivery time isn`t that long?

Just the Scooby Sport BackBox but it sounds fantastic.
The Back Box may be avail soon as i am looking into getting the Prodrive Performance Pack Fitted. I am sure we can come to some arrangement!.
BTW which dealer looks after your car?

Wow, more radioactive scoobs! I work on site as well and drive a 93 WRX in red. I'm currently on the Tech Centre. I know someone in B537 who has just bought a WRX as well.
Always pass 2 or 3 scoobs going to work including a DGM UK car driven by an attractive young lady. Not many folk wave though. We'll have to get together at Yottenfews or somewhere. Mark.
PS Lee, Did you get the brakes thing sorted?

Well I`m back!! What a good road the A702 is, nice & bendy. Had a boy try it on in a Fiesta Turbo, black windows big wheels etc, the last I saw of him he was trying to catch me on a bend & not making a good job of it! A great time had by all
we`ll have to organise a tyre kick sometime, maybe this weekend? I`ve just got my PIAA`s & could do with a look at some wired up properly.

No probs name a time and a place and i'll be there,
worrying development for me, my car has been booked into Stan Palmers today after i noticed that i have a tapping noise from the engine when cold, when engine is warm the noise is gone, it sounds like a tappet to me, guy on the phone said it was very unusual, they had never heard of a tappet going on a turbo, and it was a dockyard job to do and had never done one before,
Phil G
ps any reasurance will be a great help

I was working at Sellafield for a couple of months last year. Great driving roads, particularly the Coney Fell Road heading back towards civilisation. Is it true that there is a timed record for BNFL staff from cattle grid to cattle grid on that road? If so, it must have been set by something like a Scoob!

Dales, I think the record was set by a transit van on a Friday afternoon. Contractors do NOT loike to hang around, you know!
philgr: If its any consolation most of the scoobs i've heard running have a slight tappety sound when cold. Could it not just be the hydraulic tappets being slightly drained of oil after standing a while?
Mark
PS Who was the W reg DBM UK car I followed to Whitehaven tonight? It was'nt local registered and had Noble's plates on it?

Turn the radio up, it cures all strange noises
My old Golf GTI used to tick like mad for the first few seconds until the oil pressure got up a bit. But with 112000 miles on it I didn`t care !

Sorry Spec a bit far out for some of us i think, we are on the coast!
If we are to meet monday i'll do my best to be there, wife nagging me to go off some where permitting. Also it seems like a few may not be avail and the more the better for a proper west cumbrian possy.
I have not heard of a record time for corney fell and being a scummy contractor myself i work with alot of people who use fell road, although a few years ago i went over corney with a collegue who drove it several times a week in a 306 turbo diesel, and he impressed the hell out of me spent, most of the trip with my head in my hands and feet working imaganary brakes (hard).
Some of you local guys must have used the bridge up clints from egremont to post a speed under the bridge, currently the my car is approx 100mph it gets to 90 in no time at all and seems to take an age to make it to the ton. Fastest time for me in a friends car was 125 in a TVR Griffith 500HC (seriously frightning car) and my mates westfield is about to make an attempt when the sun finally comes out.
