Just got the car back from a rebuild, running in and am up to 435 miles of very careful driving as instructed.

Got in it last night and as going through the gears there is a rattle just as the turbo comes in.

Any ideas?

Does it do it on tick over, Lift the bonnet and gently pull the accelerator and listen to the engine, Does it rattle when you turn the engine off or start?

No just while driving on stand still nothing

The garage I am dealing with are great I can't get hold of them till tomorrow. I'm just trying to get an idea before I take it in again.

History of the car.

Bought 18 months ago 55 plate blob PPP 21000 miles.

Had it for 4 months had bearing failure.

I had an accident so the scoobynet got left.

Just got round to rebuilding it put with a garage with whom I wasn't confident with and got in touch with another who I may add have been brilliant with everything they have done for me.

So.....2 weeks back picked the car up and started running in and also getting new tyres air con regassed brakes everything. No short cuts lots spent for the right job.

Now this bloody rattle lol

Just been out and revved it s lightly no rattle but exhaust fumes in the turbo area.

does the rattle go away as u rev it at 3k or stay

Gaz, if they come in a PPP yeah it's still in, it's full standard.

JDm....I don't know I wouldn't rev its as it's still being ran in its been to 2500 revs but as it got to 2500 it was getting louder.
