New guy here needs help
Hi guys need a bit of help and advice and I am going to probably ask questions that are a bit stupid
I am looking at getting a 1989/90ish scooby but I don't have a clue what I am looking for I have had BMW,s for the last 10 years but I a looking for something a bit different.
What are the main problems I should look out for
Thanks in advance

Scooby advice.
Gud question, main thing is to do plenty of research. Its like a lottery if you don't. Engines can be very prone to failure if abused or modded without been mapped or looked after properly. Listen for big end knock the main cause of subaru engine failure. Do a compression test or leak down test prior to buying, will give you a insight into the health of the engine,
its a bit of a pain but could save you ALOT of money in the long run.
If you can afford it, i'd look for one that has perhaps has had a forged engine rebuild by a well known and trusted tuner.
Dont rush into scooby ownership, take your time find the right car and you will be a happy chap!!
Hope this helps Tim.
