It's a '99 car so starting to be considered pretty old, thousands and thousands of impreza's line the uk roads.
Although low ish miles it's not collector or showroom miles which would command a little more. And it's not a rare model like type r wrc limited or anything.
They are a great car but I fear your a bit out of touch on today's market, look on eBay and tell me if you find any 5k turbo 2000's I suspect not.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news dude.

Think eBay prices are always low as the perception of it as a place to buy stuff is "it's the cheapest place." trouble on there is you are up against cars that may 'look' similar in a photo, but aren't as good as yours.
Think it may be better to look on pistonheads as that may be more of a destination where enthusiasts look for better than average cars.

Sorry to be depressing again but I've heard my previous (very modified) 97 uk turbo is up for sale at £1200
I bought it for £3k 2 years ago, and I sold it after a year for £1600

I'd say £2,500 in fairness. 46k miles is very low especially if it's been serviced according to time and not miles.
It's a good base for a fairy quick family car, without punting for a newage or import.

Yes a car like that needs bubble wrapped for a few years
Don't think we are at rock bottom prices yet
Just need some of the early 93-97 modles to be ruined by the chavs then broken up for parts after they. Ant afford the service /insurance /tax or a full tank of petrol
At the price of £1500. -£2500 the majority of buyers want as much as they can for the money mods, body kits and to see invoice for thousands spent on it and there is plenty of cars about like that on eBay /piston heads and the various forums at Similer sort of money
A standard car is very rare and with such a low mileage too
(I thought my one owner reasonabally standard classic 12 years old with 61k was low )
So not many people are interested in standard car that the OP has unless it was a P1/22b or possibly one of the special editions terzo ,RB5 Catalonia etc so a well maintained classic that is standard does not Unfortunely appeal to many buyers
At the moment but in five years time as trends change and original and unmolested ,polished to the maximum will be the new modified for people
So keep it
If you need the money get a cash advance on your credit card then transfer the balance to an interest free credit card for 12 months and pay it off as that's cheap Money rather then selling your nice standard classic for peanuts
Hope that makes your Sunday better

keep it fella as said in a few years it may make more brass. mine has just clocked 60k which i think is good for a my00 car trying to keep it low as they always sell better when the time comes.
