Default front mount intercooler

hi im going to have a front mounted intercooler fited soon with a remap im running a standard air box with green cotten filter at the min will i lose all that when i have a fmit fitted and will i still need a maf sensor?

It's very rare to find a front mount setup that leaves enough room for an air box. I've seen only one, nearly everybody has to go with a cone filter.
MAF wise, maybe when having it mapped you could go MAF'less. They don't seem to like cone filters much so MAF'less is always best.

To run maffless also depends on ecu type simtek esl etc as far as I know standard ecu won't run maffless tbh mate to get the best pita ure front mount best get a inductions kit hks is a decent one k@n etc depends on what u want really

i have just fitted one of harveys fmic and the airfilter cone is still in the wing and the maf screws into the pipework provided

I always find it odd that the pipe you want to keep as cool as possible is routed right over the top of a scorching hot turbo
Reckon id be inclined to buy some heat wrap for it.

looking good though Dan, get some new bolts for that header tank

its funny you should mention the pipe as it is off to be powder coated next week, along with the header tank and a few other parts.

im leaving the hot side pipe as it is so it doesnt keep any heat in.

How low does the pipe hang under the car on yours as mine is very low?
