hi guys,

as title my gear box has given up no warning nothing just accelerated and load of noise now no 2nd 3rd 4th etc.. i cant afford to go down the 6 speed route yet so just wondering which box to go for, any advice welcomed thanks...

bit about the car, 2001 wrx running 343 / 319, and gearbox is ty7542aa

been offered a 1aa? what do u think? thanks tyrone

good old 5 speeds i have been throught most of them after blowing up 12 and i have found the the gearbvox im running in my car now to be the best i have had and i have 2 and it has been absolutly fine for a few months now no whines ect i also have a spare 1 if your interested ready to drop in no issues what so even 200 and its yours

A new age 5 speed be fine for that power

good luck on any 5 speed at that power unless yoru extreamly sympathetic, slightly miss a gear and you'l strip a cog.

Cheapest option it second hand box, lasting option is uprated gearkit.
