Thumbs up smoke/black soot on exhaust

hi every1,ive got bugeye been mapped 255fuel pump/turbo back exhaust/3port solenoid/alloy rad/panel filter, had a tweak the other week for new fuel pump ran great even the mapper asked if i was using different fuel or had done something else to it,as he was able to put another 3degrees of timing, anyway it seems now n again to smoke when i stop very rarly,i cant quite make out the colour of smoke but exhaust is very black with soot,it also seems to lose power some days it goes like s*** of shovel other times it seems to be like standard.no engine light i even checked for fault codes nothing, any ideas anybody...pls...thanks
oh & ive replaced the neutral switch.the only thing i havnt swapped is the plugs to 7s.

What car is it to start with?
Soot is common on scoobs if you are giving it some beans, they run quite rich (hence the soot), thats nothing to be worried about (unless its over fuelling).
Also, depending on the weather, hot = less power, wet and cold = more power.

Yep a little sooty and smokey as it spools up is normal. There often set up a little rich for safety.
