Default Variable Valve Timing

Hi,

Does my WRX STi Spec D 07/07 have this?

I ask because I think I can hear something when planting it in 5th on the motorway.

I don't notice it in the lower gears, so if it does have VVT, in the lower gears it's there and over in a flash if you see what I mean.

Hope it's that and nothing else? It's a bit hard to describe, but the engine just seems to scream a bit.

Yes it does, it's called AVCS. I think its only on the inlet cams though.

Yeah, that's what advances the cam timing.
