Hello all Scoobynet people,
Please prove your worth over IWOC who never responded to this question !!
I have got a MY98 Turbo and want to fit a decent induction kit,I have tried to fit :-
A] A Blitz
B] A HKS [ green mushroom style]
Neither of them would fit due to having a different mounting plate,[where the connection goes to the air meter].
I am mechanically duff and therefore have no idea how to solve this problem.
Don't the above mentioned Induction kits fit the MY98 or is it just mine?
Can I resolve it with purchasing another mounting plate ?
If the answer to both of the above is negative what would you recommend I fit?
I appreciate this topic isn't a fun one and it will take effort to reply but I would be very greatful for some help !!
Thanks in anticipation
Cambelt

I've got a MY'98 Turbo and I've recently fitted a Blitz Induction Kit. It had 8 holes in the mounting plate - you use 4 and the other 4 you just blank off. Did yours have 8 holes on the mounting plate?

Thanks for the 2 replies,Gordon I can't answer that as i do not have the Blitz now only the HKS Mushroom.
Unfortunately I am no further forward yet but it was good of you both to reply,I thought that questions such as this were what the website would be about,to help each other out,I am disapointed with only 2 relies and zero from IWOC !!
What did I say wrong :eek

Hi Cambelt,
AFAIK the induction kit should bolt straight onto your airflow meter, the only difference being in the size of the intake pipe around the 97/98MY range.I think the EJ20K engine had a smaller intake pipe than the later 98MY? cars.
I do know that the airflow meters on early cars with the slanted I/C have a much smaller meter.
Have you got the right kit?
Hopefully of some use
Steve
