Default WRC growl? which exhaust

which exhaust gives the closest sound to the wrc growl, the nurspec, afterburner ect sound nice but the give a deep grumble sound which isnt what im after..i like the simple 3" round tailpipe look such as the scoobysport design but that doesnt give the sound ide like.

any suggestions and videos would be great

Group N exhaust must be pretty close but the rally cars are obviously more tuned. A straight through unresonated 3" exhaust with minimal baffling would give a closer sound IMO but a lot is to do with the tip size from the exhausts I've had. Would look subtle but sound sweet mate

you could get a custom one made by h&s with a 3"bore pipe reducing to 2.5 at the flange, and choice of style/size of tailpipe.
i had one made by h&s using the scoobysport design box and it did sound very nice and deep, similar to the normal scoobysport but a whole lot deeper.
wont be cheap though.

For a start you'll need to fit a twin scroll equal length set of primaries, followed by a mahasseeeev twin scroll turbo, full 3" system with just one straight through can and you should be about right.

Add the blow off valve never rev above 5,000rpm and it should sound just like a WRC.

If you are looking elsewhere you will find this exhaust for lot less

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1179776

or direct from Launsport cost around the £585

http://www.launsport.com/

Or if you want pure WRC exhaust contact WRC spares

Blow Off valve(Dump valve) on WRC is not used

Equal length headers are the first thing you'll need if you want your car to sound like a WRC car - without them it'll still have the usual Subaru off-beat 'dugga dugga' exhaust sound. The rest of the exhaust (ie from turbo back) doesn't really matter, all it does is 'tune' the exhaust note. Construction material; diameter; size, shape and position of silencers etc all make a difference.

Personally, I would start by buying some equal length headers and then visit my local exhaust fabricator to have a system made. That way you can play with the look and sound as it's being constructed. In my experience, having a system made usually works out about the same or even a little cheaper than buying one off the shelf.
