I currently have a 2004 Blob eye Sti with a Blitz nur spec R cat back exhaust. Im wanting more power and wanting to go with either a sports cat down pipe and decat middle or just go for the full blown decat?
Thing is i like the way the exhaust sounds as it is.. What kind of sound would i get if it was fully decatted? Would it sound really raspy and crap or still sound nice? Would a sports cat downpipe and decat middle section be the better option for sound? Any advise would be appreciated

It will be a lot louder
And if it were me Id go for the full de-cat

Dont mind it been louder... just dont want that tinny raspy noise. Id still like to keep the deep burble it makes lol

you should be fine with that back box. I don't think it will sound tinny

It will have a deeper sound mate, you won't get a raspy sound from changing the downpipe as its certain backboxs that will cause the raspy sound.

Rite ok. Once i come to map it will there be simething in the software that stops the engine management light coming on?
