Default left speaker has lost volume and bass after head unit change

as above i changed my head unit today and for some reason the front passenger speaker has lost volume and bass,i have checked the fader/balance etc
and checked all wiring and checked the speaker etc
i'm now lost for anything else that could of happened????

Any ideas????

Have you tried plugging your old headunit back again see if it works. If it does it could be your new headunit or the wires from the headunit to the car arent in correct order.

Or that channel on the amp on the head unit if fried? Is the unit new?

Did you disconnect the battery before wiring the new one in?

lots of potential reasons... common ones are +ve and -ve for that speaker the wrong way round. This will make it drive out o phase with the rest and will deffo have an impact on the percived volume and bass. another common is a short to earth on the speaker cable, worth checking this with a test meter.

cheers for all replys but it turned out to be the head unit that was at fault,got my money refunded from halfrauds
