Default Classic won't start. Had been running?

My classic won't start. Has been sitting for some time. It's got spark and fuel. It turns over but back fires as it tries to fire. Any ideas people?

Possible dodgy crank or cam sensor mate. Sounds like what happened to mine.

Well it was running ok, then I left it for 2 days then it wouldn't start so I took one coil pack off to check for Spark but that was it. Was going to try cleaning crank and cam sensors as they look dirty. Also was going to check for fault codes.

Sorted it, it skipped a tooth on the crank have re timed and is running lovely. Need oil crank seal doing as the oil got onto the belt and helped it skip 2 teeth.

Had you previously had the belt off for a change or something, recently?

As, surely a jumped belt just wouldn't happen out of the blue, if it had been running fine for ages beforehand?
