If you are trying to get out through your corporate firewall to access the chat server, then yes it is possible. You need to talk to an external proxy on port 80 (or other accepted port) that will translate your port values and pass it on to the chat and the same in return.
There are a number of pieces of software and sites that offer this service, but I'll be buggered if I can remember the names of any of them right now!!

What you are trying to do here is the reverse of hacking...the firewall is their for a reason! - plus it probably won't be the firewall stopping you hitting a website (generally the FW policy would be to stop any browsing or specific IP addresses, etc) -
You will probably find there is a URL control application in place (ie X-Stop or WEBsense) - this will be set to prevent you hitting types of sites (ie Adult, recruitment, Chatroom, etc)and will be updated daily if it is anygood!
Plus it will be reporting any attempts to the network administrator to file
I don't think anyone will be able to explain how to bypass this control...but if you really want to get into hacking try some of the suspect sites (ie
