lol yeah I know (as mentioned in your first post).

What I meant was, was it you or him that diagnosed it... But of course, you've now answered that.

No worries bro lol.

Glad you're gonna get it fixed, and that it obviously doesn't mean you have a non-runner in the meantime.

Just make a mental note of the fuel gauge needle's new 'zero' level.

Or if you know how many miles you do from a fill up to empty, then go by the odo. reading instead...

...Then you'll start modding...!!

When you get the sender fixed, it is indeed good practice to always have at least 1/4 tank left i.e. regard that as 'zero'. Fuel surge when cornering (can't remember if left or right), means that anything less could cause fuel starvation issues, due to the fuel moving away from the pump's pick-up.

Not good.

As the ECU is 'blind' to fuelling pre-injectors.

Ahhh, so the sender might NOT be knackered then.

Have you since fuelled your car up again, since that incident?!

Ah, okay.

Well if the needle is still in the same place after putting at least another 1/4 tank of fuel in, then the sender, or the gauge, is indeed probably faulty.
