Default 6 speed conversion

Im debating whether to get a blob or get hold of a 6speed etc. n put it in a classic. I feel confident in doing the work myself, I really don't want to pay a garage X amount.
Is it a pain in the **** job or fairly straight forward?

not a bad job to do yourself but the 6 speed box is rather heavy so u would probably need a hand getting in to position other than that simple if your handy

That looks like an odd choice........are you desperate for 6 speeds?

I'd prefer a classic but I'd be limited to 350bhp ish on a standard STI 5 speed. They are getting on abit now, so it would be hard to find one with a good box

+1 on tidgy.

350bhp classic is a damed fast car, going beyond that requires very deep pockets to do it properly.

I have some of 3rd gear in a box in my garage as a near miss trophy...overtaking. .bang...driver leaves me hanging unable to get back in...swetty bollox moment stiring the box to find 5th...lol...Using launch control at Brands might have contributed ...

Biggest disadvantange of the 6speed is weight impact on handling..but it really is nice having 6 strong gears to play with
