Boost problem
I have just, over the space of two weekends, fitted a front mount and new HRC fuel pump.
Managed to get the bumper back on last thing tuesday night
Decide this morning to make sure everything works as it should and it doesnt
Warmed the engine as usual, set off, just to nip to the post office about five miles away.
When everything as up to temp, tried to accelerate, boost came up to about 5psi on the gauge, then fluttered/bounced not sure.
I wasnt intending to thrash it as it is due for a re map next week.
Admittedly i came back home and refitted the standard recirc, thinking the HKS was leaking, took it back out, the same thing.
I still do need to check all of the connections on the front mount just in case, which i'm going to do in a moment, after 15 roll ups.
The car is a 97 type r, it s almost like its got boost cut.
No CEL s either
Any ideas
And the frigging post office was shut

For starters you should be driving off boost until it's remapped. It's possible the problem is just the need for a remap. I'd double check all the pipework again & keep it off boost until mapped for your mods.

A max overall pressure of 5psi would suggest that your boost solenoid may be at fault, you would not get a code for that either.
Cheers Iain
