Hi
I'm Mattie
I'm going to have a look at a scooby on Monday it's a classic shape 2000 awd impreza after having vauxhaul for the last 6 years I fancied a change lol
Any tips to look out for when looking around these cars
It's done 62000 miles in silver had Cambelt has been done
Looks mint from the pictures anyway
The reg is W555PRO if anyone knows info on this car would be great
Thanks
Mattie

The most important thing is history. Has it been serviced regulary using decent oils etc.
Rear arches, known to rust and quite a big job to fix so have a really good look and poke.
Make sure the engine is sweet, no unusual knocks and bangs.
Gearbox, another known weak point on classics. Go up and down the gearbox and listen for any crunching.
Make sure the power delivery is smooth and doesn't miss or hesitate.
To be honest, just use your common sense. Anybody with half a brain can tell if a car has been cared for and if it's not up to scratch walk away. There are literally hundreds out there for sale so it's a buyers market.
