Hi all.

Just bought an import Legacy turbo and I'm confused (normal state). Speedo has been changed to read mph, but the odometer is reading the Kms it had travelled at time of import. Dealer says from now on it's reading in miles. So I've got a motor that says c89Kms when I bought it with an MoT that says c54,000 miles. Is that normal? I'd have thought that changing the speedo to mph would automatically require the odometer changed to miles.

Be grateful for any clarification from those in the know.

Normal procedure really, Just keep a note of the original KM reading and anything after that would be in miles and added to the total, You can get the clocks changed if you want, Personal choice IMO

 

Thanks very much for your quick reply - at least I know now. It "seemed" like the dealer was pulling a fast one but not if this is the usual way of doing things. Mind now at rest
