Talking Big burble

Hi peeps!, my 2001 bugeye wrx has stainless
Steal exhaust, it burbles but on a quiet level,
If I get vortex afterburner backbox
Will this give it a bigger sound? Or would I need
The whole exhaust system?
Cheers

If you go for a straight through pipe will that have any negative effect on MOT?

The Afterburner Vortex will probably be louder (depending on what you have on there at the moment), but I found decatting (I only did the centre cat), and putting the afterburner centre pipe (replacing the resonated centre section) made the biggest difference to the sound.

After a while I did find this setup to be too loud on my bug WRX (especially when coming home late!) - and I actually replaced the vortex backbox with a Scoobysport one, and left the decat and centre in place, and was very happy with how it sounded, and how loud it was.

My advice would therefore be - keep the backbox you have, and start replacing those centre sections - perhaps one at a time until its at the volume you want!

A dump valve wont increase power, it is said that it is used to to stop the turbo from stalling when dumping.

Ive just taken the VTA (vent to atmosphere) DV off of my Bug WRX and went back to the standard Recirc. I think it drives better, If it wasn't any good Subaru wouldnt have put it on. If you do really want one then a forge is probaly the best route to take.

If you want big burble how about a Nurspec system. Prodrive down pipe and STi up pipe. Then you would have a serious sounding system
