Here's a pic showing the driver side fog light cover removed on my 2003 car.

i want to add a cold air feed through the wing, this part is impeding the way forward. I still have the OEM air box at present but this will be removed for an induction kit. I think the object is attached to the air box? Is it the air box resonator?
Will it be easy to remove when the rest of the air box is taken out?

Cheers
Andrew

I could be wrong but isnt that the airbox moisture runoff thingy. ( I am sure there is a technical term for it )

Just traps and collects any moisture.

Yeah,it's a resonator 'bladder'. Helps silence the intake noise before it get's into the engine bay/to the OEM airbox.

Can be junked. But as above, a wing off job, I believe...?

The operation commonly called a Snorkusectomy
You can remove it without taking off the wing, just remove the wheel and peel back the liner for access.........
