Please forgive the idiot question but is the Classic Impreza the GC8 model ?

Reason for asking is that I need a replacement radiator for my 1998 Forester T/tb (JDM) automatic, but they just do not exist in the UK. However I am reliably informed that the rad from a Classic Impreza Auto is almost the same, ie sidetanks/crossflow and transmission cooler outlets, the only difference being the angle of the bottom water outlet. This can be solved by some unorthodox cut and join of hose tubing !
So if I can't get a T/tb rad then I can get an Impreza one and fiddle the hoses.

Cheers and thanks

Brian,

Run down the list here and check out the pics/info as they give the dimensions and rad cap arrangements.............

http://www.adrad.co.uk/car-radiator/...model=FORESTER

Part numbers for early AT JDM Foresters are 45111FC000 and 45199FA030 (superceded by 45199FC021)

Thanks all.

None of the Forester adrad ones fit. I 'think' its the SU332 that I need, the Impreza one.

Oh the joys of an import !!!!!

Cheers

Searching on the 45111FC000 number gets you...........

so SU332 looks about right if dimensions OK.

Thanks Don, yes the Iwaki one is the T/tb one judging by the pic and part number. The SU332 has, I am informed, the same fitting dimensions.
Only one way to find out !

Cheers
