FRONT SPLITTER
Can't make my mind up about Front Splitters, I agree that they look great but how practical are they?
Do they get ragged easily?
Are you on edge every time you drive over a raised obstacle?
Are they worth the risk?
Which ones are the best and where to purchase?
Would appreciate your comments

The major questions I would ask are "how low is your car" and "is it a daily driver"? If your car is low and/or you take it up and down a lot of drives, steep ramps etc. you might have issues.
I'm a Blob owner and I bought the genuine STi splitter from Litchfield (because I'm a mug for anything with the words "genuine" and "STi" attached to it) and its been superb so far.
My car is on AST coilovers, but isn't slammed to the ground so I have a couple of inches between the splitter and the ground. It certainly doesn't render the car undriveable, but I do have to plan ahead when leaving cars parks/drives/ramps etc.
I've had a few scrapes, but only at low speed, and the splitter has been fine.

I've had one on for years. The original was an MRO one from TSL, it got sold when I revised the front end fron facelift version 1.5 to v.2.
The one I have now is an HTAutos P1 copy.
Touching wood here, but my first one only ever suffered damage to it's underside when I parked up and rode it over a high kerb
The new one was only on three months when I scraped the front o/s lower edge on a piece of concrete marking out parking at a French supermarket
Basically, then, they are OK unless you are an idiot........
BUT: my first one was fibreglass and showed white when chipped. It never looked good unless it was newly sprayed.
The HT one is injection-moulded PR, and shows black if chipped, which isn't a problem. It's also VERY light
I have driven on and off ferriy ramps fully loaded and not had a problem.
