ive seen some Blob LED rear lights i fancy upgrading too on my Bug but would like to hear from anyone that has converted there Bug rear lights to Blobs ?
I know it can be done but just how easy is it ? and what is involved i.e. accomodating for the blob in the bumper ?
would be grateful for any tips and pics

think you would need the rear bumper to as the shape of the lights are differant

 

Search it on here. Someone on here did it in the last 6 months with pics. yes you need the blobeye bumper and brackets etc to do a perfect job.

EDIT> Yes the lights do fit without changing the rear bumper with light tinkering, but the circle bit at the bottom sticks out past the bumper a little bit.

 

I'm sure I've read someone has done it whilst keeping the original bumper

 

The blob lights will fit with the bug bumper - there's a little foam pad under the round bit at the bottom that needs to be ripped off, but otherwise it's a straight swap
