What's it all about??
As a proud & satisfied Scoobie newbie I found the people on SNet to be fantastic & invaluable in terms of their advice & insight into purchasing my very first perrformance car, so a humungous thank you!
SNet is brilliant for a number of reasons as it is:
1. Full of genuine characters
2. Very practical with lots of great advice
3. A lorra lorra fun in the words of our 'Cilla'
4. Saves me money
& the list goes on & on........
Out of all interest & curiosity what I can't get my head around is why some people not all amass heaps of bph & don't appear to fully utilise it or they spend thousands on improving their vehicle knowing they will never re-coup the financial outlay.
I do not wish to offend or cause any upset to anyone so please see my that my motive is pure & honest.
I would like to know your views and thoughts please with interest.

It is addictive, and once you start you just want to keep improving it. I used to find that meets were the most dangerous things to go to. You go along completely happy, then see the way someone else's sits or sounds and before you know it you are back on the net buying something!!. I must have had 5 back boxes and 3 sets of springs in 3 years lol. Also, a lot of people have no plans to sell and are happy to spend a bit as its as much a hobby as a car. That how I was anyway.

Mine was only ever going to get a set of springs and wheels.........
Of bodywork bolted to the shell, there's only the doors left that are original to when bought it. The door glass isn't original, and the rear screen soon won't be.

I was looking or something over 200bhp but only had 2k at the time ..
Was standard apart from exhaust and panel filter then I met mattyb1983 and the bloke keeps spending my money lol
I like drive and sound of my classic and my spiecal needs son loves it to,,but he wants it Subaru blue ,,
I like meeting up with Matty b1983 and we work on each others cars and have a lot of fun ,I like the meets I go to if not working weekend ,and once you get into it there not that hard a car to work on really ,Evan the engine bay isn't that scary as it once was lol
Still it's a hobby and you do copy others in style or performance depending on your budget ,
Now 2 years later and over £1500 in parts and getting ready for a remap to over 300bhp not bad for a car I was going to leave as was lol
Still I got this and all my other mates who go pub 3 days a week ain't got nothing to show for there weeks work
Hope this makes sense lol

Bit like getting a tattoo, or should I say body art, it's all about personalising the car, for me my car, like my art is an extension of me, loud n fast lol, if we was all the same how boring would it be, if our cars were all the same omg u may as well buy a mondeo lol, but even in standard form we like cars are still fun, but it's better to be different I say,
