For my 1st Scooby, 2004 vs 2005 STI
How's it going,
I have spoken to a few people are they are urging me to go with a 2005 Sti, Wider track and DCCD being to main things they list, I know there is some other changes, bigger wheel bearing etc I think? And some cosmetic changes etc, but my real question is, for my first subaru is it really worth the extra money for the 2005 model?
I have been driving since I was 11 and competing in autotesting since I was 14, (Nearly 24 now) so I would like to think I know how to handle a car better than most people.
On the main roads and occasional track days, will it make that much of a difference?
Also, what sort of mileage should I know go above for a used 2004 or 2005 model, (assuming it has been fairly well maintained) 40k? 50k? etc.
Thanks,
Martin

In my opinion the improvements are worth it and the interior also looks neater, but it depends on budget and what you find for sale, I would rather have a mint 2004 than a dog of a 2005.

Thanks Daz, I will just have to keep and eye out for prices and mileage etc, I wouldn't like to cheap out on a 2004 and regret it right enough, might be worth while looking at a slightly higher mileage 2005 model in that case.
