Default Im never buying from ebay again

Purchased some inovite 18" alloys off ebay last year, just got round to sorting them out.

Took them to local refurbisher yesterday, thought all was well and I could pick them up on Saturday. They just rung me and said 2 of the 4 have cracked spokes and beyond repair. To say Im angry would me an understatement.

Buy cheap buy twice. Ebay makes me so mad.

Never again. I have learnt my lesson well and truly this time.

Ummmm would it have made a difference if you had had them checked over properly after you bought them ?

i know someone who bought brembos and they were fine, looked in good condition.
sent away for a refurb and painted.the calipers were fecked, started to crumble when they were getting cleaned up.

i wouldnt blame ebay, its just one of those things,
if you never sent it away you would have fitted them and drove round on them,

which could have resulted in a fatal outcome

If I knew what I was looking for maybe, wheel refurb place didnt realise till they started work on them properly today.

I think it was more I was looking forward to filling those gaping arches with something a bit more sexy looking ready for Germany.

Your right, if I had never sent them away for refurb I might not have noticed then they could have failed on the ring doing 3 figure speeds. Not all bad then I suppose.

Its just been one of those days.

Feel your pain chap, a year or so ago I bought some replacement 17" sti wheels with tyres. The chap said they were all straight and to look at them they were but after a few months down the line when I fitted them I discovered 2 of them were slightly oval and beyond repair.

Some things are better off being bought new, unless you know who your buying off or can return them.

I bought a set of Brembos, the NSF one had a damaged thread & seat which even Godspeed can't repair. I'd had them 6 months before I fitted them so no comeback. Unless you know & trust the person best to buy used off Scoobyspares as if faulty you can swap the parts. Iv even been ripped off by a member off here who has tried to brand me as a trouble maker because I dared to complain on here when he sold me damaged parts & refused me a refund. Often it's not worth the grief & you can end up paying twice.

the brembos were mine that tom refers to, such is life. sellers may or may not know but its the pro's that would pick them up, we all take chances but lucky the chances are with a few quid and not life, wife and kids.
