Cleaning Steering Wheel
Noticed recently a lot of grime on my steering wheel. Theres been a build up of it over a few years now. So I've just took a cloth with warm water and gave it a good scrub, after turning the water black and drying the steering wheel it feels rather sticky. yuk.
As its leather is there any other better ways and any good products I can use.
Cheers

The water/suds will get rid of dirt and any other water soluble crap.
Now you need to get rid of stuff that dissolves in a solvent (this will be the sticky stuff - e.g. grease and sweat - you're feeling). Try a window cleaner on it (mild, compared to methanol). But test it on a small area on the rearside first - it could cause undesired mottling for example! You'll prob need a few small microfibre cloths at hand to fully clean it i.e. when one gets fully dirty, use a fresh one.
WD40 may even do it (once again, test on the rear first!)
If it fully cleans it off, then finish off with a good quality leather feed/restorer cream (AutoGlym or similar). But don't use silicone-based cleaners - ironically they leave that horrible sticky residue.
