Default Newage low revs hesitation.

I have a MY03 Sti type uk with PPP. It has been fitted with a blitz nur spec r exhaust but apart from that is still original. I知 about to book it in for a remap and I'm collecting parts such as a 3″ decat downpipe, inner wing cold air intake, 3 port boost solenoid and I知 probably gonna fit a new fuel pump too as the walbro that was fitted with the PPP is now 9 years old and I知 unsure on how long they last.

I知 having a slight hesitation at low revs which actually causes the car to kangaroo violently when trying to pull away sharpish in first but is less pronounced in higher gears but still there. If im very progressive with the throttle it痴 not noticeable. The car only has 30k miles and has a full 9 stamps Subaru service history. I just had it serviced (90k service) last week and had grade 7 plugs fitted but this has not helped. I also fitted a psi3 monitor last week and have noticed that my peak boost is 1.4 bar which I think is very high for a car with just PPP fitted. This has me thinking that the car may have had an ecutek or similar remap with possibly a decat downpipe fitted that was changed back over for the PPP sports cat as it was mot壇 less than a month before I bought it. Would that higher than normal boost pressure and the fact it has a sports cat be reason enough to think its been mapped and now that restriction in the exhaust from the sports cat could be causing the hesitation?

Any ideas would be much appreciated lads.

Cheers,
Melly
