Default Should he take 6k for it?

My brothers blob sti ppp is for sale, its up for 7K and he has just had an offer of 6K should he bite his hand off or wait for a better offer? Its just iv seen wrx's with same mileage up for more than that, and he's not in a hurry to sell.

tbh chap if you dont need a quick sale then hold out for a better offer, but i will say it does seem to be a bit of a buyers market atm.

Last week I paid 8k for a 05 blob with half the mileage, originally the car was up at 9.5k 3 months ago. A little more than I wanted to pay but was in the colour and spec I wanted plus it was local to me.

It is a tough market at the moment, buyers are few and far between and can pick and choose from the cars available damned if you do damned if you don't.

6k is reasonable for an early blob sti, the latter widetrack dccd versions as mentioned above are going for 8k ish now
its completely standard so i would take it unless he has got time to hold out but i doubt he will get 7k

I know that was the first things i told him he had to change along with some prodrive lowering springs but he's not into modifying cars like me, thats why its still 100% standard.

The trouble is that you may have seen others up for more but what did they sell for?

It would appear you are caught between a rock & a hard place.

The buyers hold all the aces at the mo & it would appear the price of Subaru's are on the decline however if you are not in a hurry then your not held to ransom.

Also is that the final offer? Can you eek anymore out of the potential buyer, it may be worth a try!

the condition also effects prices, you may get a blob sti for 5k but from experience they are usually dogs.

Potential buyer has said he cant go a penny over 6K. My brother is meeting him in a couple of hours, he has seen this thread and is happy to sell at that price.
Lets see what happens

I would take the 6k offer while it's there, you don't know when the next one will come along

Just sold mine with a whole shed load of mods for £7500 so I'd say £6k is about right

Hardly an accurate comparison seeing as cars go for peanuts at auctions.

If he`s in no rush I`d hang on. There`s no way I`d ever let mine go for that price.
